"I am Eri" is a non-fiction book based on the real experience of a woman who worked as a prostitute in a foreign country in order to send money back to her family in Thailand. She spent over 20 years of her life in the “darkness” , living her life as a sex worker, a chronic gambler, a junkie, and even an inmate. When she ended up in jail for illegal immigration and prostitution, she understood the definition of “hell on earth” very clearly. Her life had been in a circle of unhappiness to the point where she did not think she could step back anymore. This reflects a chronic social issue that keeps ruining a number of women's lives.
