An original fairy tale with an unusual atmosphere, which narrates the adventures of a group of Bakedanuki, the cute Japanese raccoon dogs, projecting young readers into the magical world of Yōkai, the ghosts of traditional folklore. In the legends of Japan, the Bakedanuki are considered supernatural creatures, a bit naive and distracted, who like to play pranks, change their shape and dress up. One of them starts the adventure and turns into a spirit with the curious features of a paper lantern. The other little animals follow him, and here they turn into a demon mask, into a woman with an incredibly long neck, into a child with only one eye and so on ... One of them, however, maintains his appearance: he must face a test of courage, walking along a narrow and dark path where they are hidden, lurking, his friends become ghosts.
